My law practice is based on my belief that all human beings have God-given natural rights to travel and to work as they will. I believe it is my duty, and calling, to help people secure these rights.

I have warm relationships with clients and try to be very accessible. I tend to handle a few complex cases, but I also regularly handle a few miscellaneous and pro bono matters.

Because I have a small staff, I can only handle a limited number of cases. In general, I can only accept a waiver case if (1) I personally believe it involves significant hardship, (2) I believe it is approvable based on established law and administrative practice and (3) I am free to accept another case at that time. When I cannot accept a case, I always try to give people helpful advice and referrals.

I do not charge for email consultations, and I try to help as many people as possible. (Having been overwhelmed in 1998 by my old open-door policy, I now charge $200 for telephone and in-person consultations.)
